The dress code for the wedding is black tie optional. Guests are encouraged to dress up and
celebrate with us—think dark suits and ties, formal cocktail dresses, or elevated evening wear.
Tuxes and long gowns are encouraged!
If a plus-one has been reserved for you, it will be clearly noted on your formal invitation.
While we love your little ones, we have chosen to make our wedding an adults-only
celebration. We hope this allows everyone to relax and enjoy the evening.
Please plan to arrive to St. John Vianney Catholic Church 15–20 minutes before the
ceremony start time. The ceremony will begin promptly, and we want everyone settled and
comfortable.
Cocktail hour will begin at 6:00p.m. at The Palazzo Grande, followed by the reception.
We encourage everyone to arrive on time so you can enjoy the full evening with us.
If you have time to explore, Downtown Rochester is the best place to start. It’s charming, walkable, and filled with shops, restaurants, and coffee spots. It is one of the Bride’s favorite places!
For something uniquely local, the Packard Proving Grounds in Shelby Township offers a glimpse into Michigan’s automotive history.
Transportation to the church and venue will not be provided. However, if you are staying at the
Cambria Hotel, transportation will be provided between the reception and hotel.
There is ample parking space in the parking lots at both St. John Vianney Catholic Church and
The Palazzo Grande. Valet services will be available at the reception venue.
Both the wedding ceremony and reception will take place indoors.
June in Shelby Township kicks off true summer weather! You can typically expect pleasantly warm days with average high temperatures around the mid-70s to upper-70s°F and cooler evenings in the high 50s to low 60s°F. Rain showers or brief thunderstorms are possible, so having a light jacket or umbrella on hand is helpful. Evenings can be more comfortable with a
light layer.
Shelby Township is a suburban community located about 30–40 minutes north of downtown Detroit. It’s close to Rochester, Utica, Sterling Heights, and Troy, which all offer additional dining, shopping, and entertainment. The area is safe and easy to navigate, but a car is a must.
Yes—renting a car is strongly recommended. The area is very spread out, and while ride-share services are available, most restaurants, hotels, and attractions are easiest to reach by car.
